Post Meal Astringent

Effective for signaling to the body that you are done eating. This helps with weight loss or if you are trying to be more mindful of how much you eat. Astringent tastes have a drying effect on the tongue vs sweet tastes have a lubricating effect. In this case, Ayurveda recommends you finish your meals with something astringent. A spoonful of honey makes this the easiest way to do this. Just make sure it’s good quality. I always get my homey from a local farmer at my farmers market in town.

Makes 1 serving

1 tsp Raw organic honey

pinch of Haritaki herbal powder (optional)

Instructions

  1. Take a teaspoon of honey after every meal.
