Everything from Ayurveda offers us an opportunity to connect with ourselves and with nature. It is natures direct way of communicating with us throughout our entire lives. When we connect to nature we connect to self. We are nature we are not separate from it. Ayurveda says that everything living has been created by the 5 elements found in nature. Air, space, water, fire and earth. Which includes our human bodies. Once we accept that and open up our minds and heart to this reality you will begin to develop a new relationship with yourself as well as with Mother Nature. Mother Nature has always provided everything that we’ve needed to survive and thrive.
As you learn more about Ayurveda and incorporate into your daily life you’ll start to see how the motherly influence from nature plays it’s role. She is beautiful, strong, resilient, full of timeless wisdom, nurturing, always gives without asking anything in return, forgiving, supportive, she’ll teach you lessons, offer guidance and unconditional love.
Ways you can connect with nature is to take a walk in the park or go to the beach and put your body in the ocean water. Eat with mindfulness and use your 5 senses when you connect with your food. Take a hike in the forest or try hugging a tree. Did you know that trees can absorb negative energy just by hugging it or standing up against one? Our hands and feet have the the largest pores on our bodies so when we place our hands in the soil or walk bare foot on the earths surface nature, is literally absorbing and cleansing our bodies just by connecting to her. What a miracle and gift! One of the best prescriptions is vitamin N(nature). It’s free. No pill or therapist needed.
