kulthi Lentil detox soup

This soup is best eaten during the Spring months when the warmer temperatures open up the channels in the body allowing for the toxins that may have accumulated over the winter time to be removed. Barley and Taro root are used to bind the toxins that the Kulthi lentils are pulling out. Daikon radish is used to direct the toxins into the urine. Asparagus is used to flush the toxins into the urine.

Ingredients

2 tablespoons ground Kulthi Lentils ( These can be found at www.Chandika.com)

1 tablespoons pearled barley

8oz. water

1/2 tsp of each- ground cumin, coriander and tumeric

8 slices peeled and sliced daikon radish

8 two-inch pieces of asparagus

Add all ingredients in a medium size pot and cook on medium heat for 30-40mins, stirring occasionally and adding more water if necessary.

Do not underestimate the value of food in detoxification. Many people regain their health and detoxify every organ, gland and cell in their body just by using foods.
